Creative Collage with Cold Wax

Using cold wax medium to both create your collage papers, and as your collage adhesive will provide a fabulous, playful exploration and deeper understanding of mixed media. Combining cold wax medium with oil paint enables us to build interesting textural surfaces. It will also transform delicate tissue papers into translucent collage material, allowing for fabulous layering effects.

On this course we will start by making our collage papers using oil and cold wax. Exploring a range of techniques to achieve textural effects and rich layers on both thick papers and thin tissues. The nature of cold wax means the papers will be ready to use the next day. We will cut and arrange thicker papers as a base for building layers of translucent papers.
